Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler has told the state's largest energy exploration company she does not want any dyanmite exploded on city property.

The ballot is now set for Madison's Aug. 12 special election for alderman. Two candidates, Ken Jacobs and Laura Sue McClure, qualified for the Ward 3 seat by Wednesday's 5 p.m. deadline.
